The General Directorate Of Livestock (Digega), Is The Official Institution In Charge Of Drawing Up And Executing The Government'S Livestock Policy And Promoting The Development Of The Country'S Livestock Sector Through The Implementation Of Plans, Programs And Activities That Protect Animal Health And Increase The Productivity Of Local Herds In A Way That Favors The Feeding Of The Dominican Population As A Whole And At The Same Time Increases Income And Improves The Level Of Employment Of Broad Population Segments Residing In Rural And Suburban Areas Throughout The Country.
